It's Tuesday morning and in less than 48 hours we'll be on the road. It is not hard to imagine Thursday's departure as we pull out of driveway in the darkness. We've got the bikes mounted on the ladder, the carrying bag (a large bag that sits on the rear trailer hitch platform) is filled with the inflatable kayak, paddles, pfds, and fanny packs. Food is gradually filling up the pantry. In containers under the sofa we have stored biking clothes and camera equipment. There's still some snow and ice on the RV's roof; wonder how far south that will stay with us.
While we are gone, we'll be missing our bluejays picking up peanuts from the deck....sigh..
