Transitioning North

A few parting shots from St. Joseph Peninsula SP.

Last sunset, David holds some special soft Mexican Gulf sand!
Marshmallows being roasted for you know what!  This was only the second time Dee and Marty got to enjoy this special campfire treat (Paul and David disdain them)!
Angry clouds and rain seen through the window of David and Marty's RV  on Saturday am in Port St. Joe
We left the flat lands of the Florida panhandle behind us about 36 hours ago.  All four of us spent a lovely evening with Paul's nephew, Ben, in Peachtree City, sleeping in real beds and watched TV in a real living room to see the NCAA men's semi-finals!  After one of Paul's "special breakfasts" Marty and David hit the road north, leaving Dee and Paul in Peachtree City for a longer visit with Ben.  M and D have been driving in hills, seeing fully leafed-out trees change to those just beginning and are now in the Smoky Mountains in VA!  What a change from nearly summer flora to now early spring; it will change even more as we all head all the way to Maine.

Smoky Mountains just over the line into Tennessee

The drive Sunday put David and Marty going up I-85 from Atlanta to Greenville and then north on I-26 to Bristol VA.  The reason this is noted is that I-26 is beautiful highway,  weaving up and down and around in the mountains with beautiful views.  Even with rain and clouds, it is beautiful.
