Sunday in Pokhara

We had a great breakfast at Mike's and then took a walk along the lake and then back through the business district. We have been ATM-challenged and often limited to just over $100 per withdrawal each of which carries a $4.80 service fee. So it is a quest of financial need and we don't understand why the fee is so large.

We made a stop at a trekking outfitter to get water bottles and other things and we ended up with one new day pack per couple. Yes, they are knock-offs, but are still well made.

We took a small break and then Hem picked us up and we headed to a Tibetan Refugee Center where crafts are produced as well as wonderful carpets made not just from wool, but from silk too. The whole process starts with the wool being spun by hand! There were about six active weavers in the shop today and below you can see a spinner and a weaver. There are also several photos of inside the display room in which you can see some of the many lovely designs.

We also visited Devi's Falls, photo of falls as well some flowers from the falls.
