Always something

So we got this warning light on just at the end of the NJ Pike for the braking system. The camper was in "park" and would not come out of it. Fortunately, David had been reading the blog for View owners and someone had mentioned this problem. He was able to get us going again and we made it first to McLean and then the next day to Arlington. Between our kids' homes we paid a visit to a repair shop in Rockville where a $20 part cost $300 to install. Well, it was a Bentley/Rolls Royce Service which also takes care of the Mercedes Sprinter engines.

Now Saturday am and it is dark and around 6:30 as we head out on I-66 toward I-81. Coffee will be down the road.

Stopped for fuel and got some breakfast at a Cracker Barrel just off I-81. Making pretty good time so we might extend ourselves beyond Knoxville today. Looking forward to seeing Dee and Paul in just a few more days.

Oh yes, asked if Cracker Barrel had WiFi----the hostess looked at us as though we were from Mars. "Not that they've ever told me in six years." Well, so they are BEHIND the times.

Stopping now in Bristol, VA for coffee and Internet. I-81 now behind us and we head into Tennessee and over to Cookeville where we'll spend the night at Hotel Walmart.
