David's addition

You see all sorts of things on the road...today on I-81 in southern Virginia, we came up on two trucks towing a pair of prized junk pickups. They had hooked on the back ends and were towing with just the front wheels on the road.  Trouble is, the wheels/tires were in poor shape and yet the drivers felt that 70 mph was still appropriate.  The first thing we saw was headlights coming loose and spreading glass across the road; then the roof started coming apart, attacking us who were following.  I got past the rear one, but he took offense and repassed us.  After dodging bits and pieces again, I put my foot down and got past, but Dee decdided that the wisest thing was to stay FAR behind.  Still, they got hit by major pieces that flew off.  Eventually she got past, but it was probably after everything that could have fallen, did.`

Overnight in Cooksville (I think) on Interstate 40.  Dinner was at Cracker Barrell where we decided that most of the overwieght men in the place were probably called "Bubba."  Gotta watch out and not say that outloud around here.
