Thursday

Wednesday nite

Tomorrow we will head to Carlsbad Caverns and Dee and Paul will head to Arizona.  We will reconnect with them on Monday or Tuesday in northern AZ and then head up into Utah.  It is WINDY tonight, even more so than it was during the day.  Truly amazing wind, Muki has been spooked by it and needed to snuggle and be very close all night.

Thursday am

Breakfast and on the road before 08:30.  Saw a deer near the park's access road on the way out.  Still no critters although we saw scat for ring tailed cats, and maybe coyote or bear but no critters!  No snakes, no scorpions, no poisonous anything.

Forgot to mention that on our way up to the park we saw a huge wind farm with probably 100 wind turbines on the ridge of what is most likely the Delaware Range.

Carlsbad Caverns...gotta love the Golden Age or Senior Pass that allows us fee less entry to many places.  We did the Big Room and found the humidity levels so high that Marty's glasses kept fogging up!  By the time we exited there were many people arriving.

Another thing remembered, there has been no rain in Guadalupe NP for 8 months!

Artesia has lots and lots of pecan orchards!

quick snack in Roswell...the truth is out there.
