Did you ever leave on time?

Now we are waiting in the plane, seems that the First Officer scheduled for this flight is ill. The 8:50 am departure time has been delayed as we wait for a replacement. They did announce that we would still make our arrival time in London which makes one wonder about flight schedules in general. If you can make up 30-40 minutes, just how much wiggle room is built into a schedule? First Officer has now arrived!

We have "dined" on airline food with a starter of Beano to be on the safe side. American serves reasonable food.

Gate to gate (Boston to London) six hours. Change terminals taking nearly 35 minutes, arriving at our gate just after boarding started. Next stop Bahrain and a six hour layover. With a fairly tight connection of just over an hour we will just have to wait and see if our bags arrive in Kathmandu tomorrow night.

Food on Gulf Air better than average, but the seats were HARD!

Now in the Kingdom of Bahrain having coffee. We have plenty of snacks to tide us over till our next flight in 5.5 hours. This is not a big airport so we are not going to get much exercise walking around.
